Entry Level Financial Analyst Job Description

This position is within the Securities Administration Services (SAS) group. The role involves processing the most complex transactions or reconcilements related to loan or security payments. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing remittance and correction information to servicers, monitoring and analyzing pooled loans to identify non-compliance, and communicating relevant information to investors. Additionally, evaluating servicer performance to ensure compliance with stated agreements and participating in system enhancements are key components of this role.

• Process complex transactions or reconcilements related to loan or security payments.
• Provide remittance and correction information to servicers.
• Monitor and analyze pooled loans for non-compliance and communicate findings to investors.
• Evaluate servicer performance for compliance with agreements.
• Participate in system enhancements by attending user groups and conducting testing.
• Communicate processing exceptions relevant to similar series across individual portfolios.
• Maintain expertise in areas such as Collateral, Securities, Default, or Trust Administration.
• Train and review junior staff in processing and reconciliations.
• Propose and implement automated solutions on an ongoing basis.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
• Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in business analysis, finance, and data management.

• 1+ year of experience in Financial Services, including internship experience, is preferred.

The work environment is extremely team-oriented and task-based, requiring a commitment to deadlines. Candidates can expect to work overtime during critical periods throughout the month. The position offers a hybrid flexible schedule with some training on-site and monthly on-site team meetings. There is also remote flexibility, except during large conferences or team meetings held in Columbia, MD. Growth opportunities are available within the organization.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, MD.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
