Position Overview

Phlebotomist 3250 – a contract job opportunity in Columbia, MD with potential for permanent placement. Projected duration: 3 months, with the possibility of a permanent role.

Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, and every other Saturday.

• Perform blood draws, including venipuncture using straight or butterfly needles.
• Process and label specimens, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package samples for transport.
• Document and record specimen data, maintenance, and decontamination procedures.
• Verify requisition forms against test orders to ensure 100 % accuracy.
• Maintain specimen storage according to required temperature conditions.
• Handle large volumes and work with all age groups.
• Use computer skills for data entry, processing, and updating patient information.
• Assist in troubleshooting, training, and recommending workflow improvements.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience, including experience with all ages.
• Proficient in computer use and data entry.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
