Job Description:
  • The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant HR partnership support to assigned programs, departments, and leaders within an established Area of Responsibility (AOR). This role operates as a trusted advisor to managers and employees while owning the precise execution of HR processes, including payroll‑related documentation and employee lifecycle transactions.
  • The HRBP functions as an individual contributor, requiring a high level of attention to detail, strong judgment, and disciplined follow‑through. Accuracy in documentation, payroll inputs, and compliance tracking is critical to this role, particularly within a government contracting environment.
The HR Business Partner shall possess the following capabilities:
  • HR Business Partnership Execution
    • Provide HR guidance and support to assigned managers and employees within the AOR.
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, leave, and workplace concerns.
    • Support managers with workforce planning, staffing needs, and organizational changes, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Employee Relations, Performance Management & Discipline
    • Oversee the delivery of HR support to assigned programs, departments, and leaders.
    • Serve as a senior advisor to managers on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and leadership practices.
    • Ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures across the AOR.
    • Partner with program leadership and recruiting to align workforce strategies with contract requirements and utilization goals.
    • Advise and support managers in addressing employee performance issues, including attendance, conduct, and productivity concerns.
    • Guide managers through Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), ensuring goals, timelines, and expectations are clearly defined and documented.
    • Support and administer progressive discipline in alignment with company policy and employment law.
    • Ensure performance and disciplinary actions are applied consistently, fairly, and with appropriate documentation.
    • Escalate complex or high‑risk employee relations matters to HR leadership as appropriate.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Maintain accurate and timely HRIS records, personnel files, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and government contracting requirements, including FLSA, FMLA, EEO, OFCCP, and USERRA.
    • Support audits and reporting by maintaining documentation and responding to data requests.
  • Talent & HR Programs Support
    • Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes within the AOR.
    • Assist with career development discussions, retention efforts, and employee engagement initiatives.
    • Support annual compensation reviews, promotions, and HR program communications as directed by HR leadership.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
    • Partner with recruiting, payroll, benefits, and HR leadership to ensure seamless delivery of HR services.
    • Identify process gaps or issues and recommend improvements to HR leadership.
    • Participate in HR initiatives, policy updates, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting payroll-related HR processes with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
