Azure Cloud Security Engineer

Overview

Position Title:
Azure Cloud Security Engineer

Location:
Remote/ Hybrid

Experience: 5+ years in Information Technology Engineering; recent focus on Azure security (last 2-3 years).

The role focuses on engineering security solutions in Azure. Initial project scope includes re-tooling rule-based access control across the Azure environment.

• Design and implement Azure security solutions and configurations.
• Maintain a system-level view of the overall security environment and identify configuration drifts in software, hardware, and system design.
• Develop and maintain Sentinel playbooks and procedures for incident response.
• Automate tasks with scripting (Power Shell, Python) and other automation tools.
• Hands-on Azure administration and security feature implementation.
• Leverage threat protection tools, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, to monitor and protect Azure resources.

• In-depth knowledge of Azure security best practices.
• Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Certifications preferred (e.g., SSCP, CISSP, Azure Security).
• Familiarity with AWS is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology Engineering.

• Proven experience as an Azure Administrator or Engineer with a focus on security.
• Strong understanding of Azure security features and best practices.
• Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
