Front End Developer; Hybrid

Overview

Front End Developer (Hybrid) - 26311 at Mission Technologies, a division of HII. This role supports building intuitive web applications in a hybrid work environment with collaboration in-person as needed.

• Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
• JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review.
• Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences.
• Help define and interact with REST-based APIs.
• Troubleshoot customer-reported issues in applications and provide support.
• Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Security Clearance - Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required. Will also consider a candidate with a current security clearance.
• At least 5 years of experience with front end software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (e.g., Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
• Comfortable working on a UNIX-like command line.
• Self-motivation;
  Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly.
• Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

• A current Secret or higher level clearance is preferred.
• Previous experience with BDP is a plus.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer.
