Network Engineer Security Clearance

Position: Network Engineer with Security Clearance
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to work onsite in Columbia, MD. The Network Engineer II will design, configure, and implement core elements of enterprise data and voice networks, serving as a technical consultant across multiple project teams and providing tier-3 support for complex networking issues. Responsibilities of the Network Engineer include:
· Design and implement large enterprise LAN/WAN and unified communications solutions
· Collaborate with project teams to refine requirements and deliver networking solutions
· Provide tier-3 technical support for network and UC issues
· Create and maintain comprehensive technical design documentation
· Assist Solutions Architects with technology evaluations and vendor selection
· Support operations teams through service transition and process development Qualifications for the Network Engineer include:
· 5+ years of experience managing and supporting large enterprise network environments
· Advanced knowledge of IP routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF) and TCP/IP
· Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches (6500/4500/Nexus series)
· Expertise in network security technologies (Cisco Source fire, FTD, Zscaler, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto NGFWs, Meraki, Cisco ACI, Silver Peak SD-WAN)
· Experience with S2S VPN configuration and maintenance
· Proficiency with packet capture tools (Wireshark) and network performance analysis
· Strong experience with Solar Winds; F5 LTM preferred
· CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or CWNA preferred Compensation for the Network Engineer includes:
· Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
