Work Schedule:

(shift hours and days of the week) 8hrs / day, 5 days per week, full-time onsite position Occasional after hours work for system maintenance

• The Systems Engineer serves as a technical contributor responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance, and improvement of enterprise infrastructure services. This position supports compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and identity management platforms across a variety of classified environments. The role requires strong technical expertise, collaboration across engineering and cybersecurity teams, and the ability to independently support complex infrastructure projects and operational activities.
• Design, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise infrastructure systems including Cisco UCS, Microsoft Active Directory, enterprise storage platforms, Windows Server environments, and network infrastructure.
• Support the deployment and administration of network solutions including routing, switching, segmentation, and secure communications across multiple classified environments.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of infrastructure standards, engineering best practices, and system documentation.
• Participate in infrastructure modernization efforts, technology refresh projects, migrations, and lifecycle management activities.
• Administer enterprise storage platforms and support backup, disaster recovery, replication, and capacity planning initiatives.
• Manage enterprise identity and authentication services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, firmware updates, patching activities, maintenance actions, and approved changes within production environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve system availability and performance.
• Work closely with cybersecurity personnel to support vulnerability remediation, STIG implementation, system hardening, and compliance requirements.
• Evaluate technologies, tools, and system enhancements and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including procedures, diagrams, system configurations, and operational runbooks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Support planned after-hours maintenance windows and respond to operational incidents as required to maintain system availability.

• 4+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and identity management services.
• Experience with Cisco UCS administration, lifecycle management, firmware maintenance, capacity planning, and operational support.
• Experience administering enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter
