Senior DevOps Engineer; Senior Consultant, Engineering & Technical Services

At Fearless, we are seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer as part of our Senior Consultant, Engineering & Technical Services career path to support the modernization of a large-scale public-facing government website. In this role, you will support the cloud infrastructure, containerized deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational capabilities required to run a Drupal platform within an AWS environment. You will work closely with Drupal engineers, QA, technical leadership, and government cloud stakeholders to create reliable and repeatable infrastructure and deployment processes while supporting production readiness, troubleshooting, and stabilization.

This is a fully remote role.

At Fearless, this Senior Consultant collaborates with cross functional teams to align the technical vision, implementation, and quality of software systems across development, reliability, testing, and operations. This role will possess the skills to bridge business objectives with technical execution in software development, infrastructure, security, and testing at an advanced application level of proficiency. The Sr. Consultant role will work on projects that allow them to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable solutions while mentoring engineers, fostering collaboration, and aligning stakeholders with product and project goals.

• Design, configure, and support the AWS infrastructure required to operate the Drupal platform within the customer-provided cloud environment.
• Build and maintain containerized Drupal deployment processes and Infrastructure as Code to enable consistent, repeatable environment configuration.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated build, test, deployment, rollback, and release processes.
• Implement monitoring and alerting across application infrastructure, deployments, storage, and databases to support platform reliability and operational visibility.
• Configure and support the AWS storage and database services required by the Drupal platform.
• Establish and maintain source‑control, branching, and release‑management practices.
• Collaborate with the customer Cloud Team on infrastructure setup, deployment activities, technical reviews, and required approvals.
• Lead Dev Ops support for environment configuration, production deployment, troubleshooting, and post‑release stabilization.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure, deployment, release, and operational documentation to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer.
