Overview

Public Accounting Recruiter | Tax & Audit | DC, Maryland & Virginia. This mid-sized firm is looking for a Tax Partner to step into a leadership role that combines client advisory, compliance oversight, and team direction.

You’ll be running a multimillion-dollar book, signing off on high-level returns, and driving the department forward. This isn’t just about managing tax work, it’s about shaping the team, strengthening client relationships, and playing a role in the firm’s growth.

• Lead complex engagements and review/sign returns
• Advise clients across a mix of industries on tax planning and compliance
• Manage onboarding and transitions for new clients
• Oversee workflow, team performance, and resources
• Contribute to business development and help grow the practice
• Scope, price, and deliver engagements at a high standard

• CPA license
• 10+ years in public accounting with time spent in a senior leadership role
• Currently at the Partner level in Tax
• Strong track record leading teams and directing operations
• Deep experience in client relationship management
• Local to Maryland, ideally close to Baltimore
• Hybrid setup, 2 days per week in office
