Our hospital's highly specialized Intensive Care Unit (ICU) dedicated to adult patients requiring intensive monitoring and care, including after surgery or due to medical conditions, including cardiac care, works closely with the Special Care Unit (SCU).
As a Registered Nurse in the Special Care Unit (SCU), you will be privileged to care for lower acuity ICU Stepdown patients on drips with complex medical and surgical problems

Darlene Norton serves as the Nurse Manager, with a demonstrated track record of effective leadership. She oversees three vital units: the Intensive Care Unit, the Special Care Unit (IMCU), and Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Nursing.

- BSN Preferred.
- RNs without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months and complete the degree within 4 years of their start date.
- Previous specialty clinical experience preferred for specialty units.
- Current Maryland RN license or licensure in a compact state that allows practice in Maryland.
- CPR required.
- ACLS required.

Salary Range:
Minimum $37.13/hour - Maximum $57.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
