The Campus Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.

• Patrol campus by foot patrol, vehicle patrol, bike patrol, and maintain stationary posts.
• De-escalate major and minor conflicts on campus.
• Work with state and federal law enforcement during major and minor events.
• Work events and use crowd control measures, as needed.
• Respond to medical emergencies, disturbances, vehicle accidents and other events on campus.
• Respond to panic alarms, assaults, and armed intruders on the campus.
• Conduct lighting and other safety/security inspections of the campus.
• Conduct scan patrols of fixed locations.
• Arming/unarming, locking, and unlocking of buildings.
• Monitor camera systems.
• Maintain basic preventative maintenance checks for the security vehicles.
• Able to direct traffic and monitor parking lots.

• 25 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Experience with Microsoft Office needed.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• 2+ years of experience in security/military/law enforcement industry with leadership responsibilities needed.
• Must have a reliable means of communication
• Must have a reliable means of transportation.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license or equivalent.
• Must have the ability to obtain a security license
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.

• Able to work evening or weekend hours when required, such as during an emergency event or crisis.

• Highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, students and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
