Electrician Instructor

Join Lincoln Tech in Columbia, MD as we seek part‑time Electrical Instructors, Low Voltage Technician/Fire Alarm Technician/Security Alarm Technician Instructors for our Electrical and Electronic Systems program. Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and provide hands‑on training using our fully equipped facility, ensuring students gain valuable skills.
  • Facilitate and deliver the accredited course curriculum, ensuring a thorough understanding of electrical systems.
  • Teach safety and compliance, instilling the importance of safety procedures and industry regulations, preparing students for real‑world applications.
  • Support and motivate student growth, encouraging professionalism, accountability, and continuous development to foster student success.
  • Evaluate and communicate progress, regularly assessing and communicating student performance, offering feedback to guide improvement.
  • Prepare students for successful careers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a demanding and in‑demand career.
Key Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in the residential, commercial, or industrial electrical industry.
  • Experience in installation and service of electrical equipment.
  • Understanding of single‑phase and 3‑phase systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes.
  • Motor controls, lighting controls or solar experience is a plus.
  • Experience or knowledge of low‑voltage systems is a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Teaching experience is a plus.
