Overview
Big Bear.ai is excitedly seeking a talented CNO Reverse Engineer, ready to embark on a thrilling journey of reverse engineering hardware components, software applications, and operating systems, unveiling their functionality, code structure, and circuit design. Your responsibilities will include crafting insightful documentation, delivering impactful reports, developing innovative proof‑of‑concept code, creating prototypes, and conducting engaging hands‑on demonstrations. Author and participate in technical presentations of assigned projects.
This position will report to an on‑site location in Maryland; an active TS‑SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
What you will do- Program in Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
- Develop Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments; UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments; or embedded or mobile platform development.
- Provide/author documentation, participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews as prescribed by the customer’s software development procedures and processes.
- Use software version control tools (e.g., Subversion or CVS).
- Tackle challenges by debugging sophisticated software and expertly troubleshooting complex issues.
- Design and develop end‑to‑end data flow and tasking for CNO tools developed.
- Provide/author documentation, design, code, and software readiness reviews as prescribed by the customer’s software development procedures and processes.
- Provide/author and participate in technical presentations on assigned projects.
- Develop network sockets program including developing packet‑level programs, expert packet‑level understanding of IP, TCP, and application‑level protocols.

- Inspire and guide a team of CNO analysts/programmers, fostering collaboration and driving success in their daily tasks.
- A Bachelor’s Degree and a proven track record with 5+ years of hands‑on experience in the field are essential to thrive in this role.
- Clearance:
Must possess and maintain a TS‑SCI clearance with a polygraph - Experience with any of the following languages and associated technology stacks:
Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
