We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software capabilities for computer‑based systems. You will work closely with other talented engineers to create software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. The role is hybrid with some on‑site support.

• Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer‑based systems.
• Collaborate with other engineers to create software solutions that meet client needs.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest developments in the field and experiment with modern tools and technologies.
• Work in a fast‑paced, small‑business environment with a talented team.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least five (5) years of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava) and a Bachelors in related field.
• Experience designing enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, microservices architecture, OOP paradigms, agile software lifecycle.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
• Experience with Linux operating system and configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven).
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1–2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential.

• Current Secret or higher level clearance is preferred.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II compliance certifications may be required.
• Experience in cloud‑based technologies (AWS, Azure).

  SQL databases, full text‑search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, Mongo
  
  DB, Solr).
• Scripting experience is a huge plus.
• Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is a plus.
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise).

A current Secret level security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

The expected salary range is $150,000–$275,000.
