American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric ICU position requiring 2 years of PICU experience and MO or Compact RN licensure.

• Work in a General Pediatric ICU setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Blocked schedule options available (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon)
• Schedule will align with unit needs, including rotating shifts
• Floating is mandatory, including serving as a Patient Observer (sitter) across the organization
• Cerner charting system preferred but not required

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) in hand, no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS and PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• TNCC certification appreciated but not required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/arterial line management
• Experience administering blood products, antiarrhythmics, and IV vasopressors
• Pediatric dosage calculation proficiency required
• Respiratory skills required, including ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring
• Able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity pediatric ICU environment
• Care for patients with contagious illnesses in a 24/7 healthcare facility
• Participate in holiday coverage for at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Work in inclement weather and rotating shifts as required
• Required to take call and work assigned weekends
• Maximum 10 days RTO allowed, with none during the first week due to orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Candidates residing more than 74 miles away are eligible for standard travel rate; those within 51-74 miles may be offered at a local rate
