American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital position requiring a MO or compact RN license and at least 1.5 years of M/S experience.

• MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Mandatory floating to adult MS Cluster and MS/Tele units
• Cerner charting system preferred

• Active MO or Compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• BLS certification required
• CMSRN certification preferred
• 1.5-2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including chest tubes, HFNC, and ABG interpretation preferred
• Experience with wound care/wound vac preferred
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs

• Provide care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients including those with orthopedic, renal, neurological, and post-surgical needs
• Required to work at assigned location for the full contract term and assigned shifts/weekends
• Required to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Works in a healthcare facility operating 24/7, including during inclement weather
• Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible to apply
• Candidates residing 51-74 miles away may be offered a local rate
• Local candidates are not eligible for contract extensions beyond the initial term
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with none available during the first week due to orientation
