Description

ASC Engineered Solutions is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer to support our Columbia, PA foundry environment. This role is responsible for leading complex capital projects, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with OEM’s to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, proven project management skills, and the ability to manage an annual capital expenditure budget of up to $10 million.

How

You Will Help
  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and budget constraints.
  • Manage an annual Cap Ex budget of $10 million, including forecasting, cost control, and ROI analysis.
  • Collaborate with OEMs to specify, procure, and integrate equipment and systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
  • Present project updates and performance metrics to senior leadership.
What You Will Bring
  • 7–10 years of engineering experience in a foundry or heavy industrial setting.
  • Proven experience managing $10M+ in annual capital projects.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience working directly with OEMs for equipment specification and integration.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Preferred Skills
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Works).
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
