We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Continuous Improvement Manager to lead and execute lean transformation and process optimization initiatives within our Columbia, PA foundry manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities for operational excellence, driving sustainable improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
How You Will Help- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in lean manufacturing and other CI tools.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity.
- Develop and deliver training programs to build CI capabilities across the organization.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPI) related to CI initiatives.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to lean principles and CI standards.
- Support strategic planning and long‑term operational goals through data‑driven decision‑making.
- Engage in the company wide network of CI practitioners to accelerate best practice sharing, process and tool development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of management experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment.
- Proven track record of leading successful CI initiatives with measurable results.
- Deep expertise in lean tools and methodologies, including but not limited to: 5S, Standard Work, VSM, SMED, TPM, Kanban, and problem solving.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel)
- Experience in metal casting or foundry operations.
- Change management expertise.
- Ability to coach and mentor teams in a hands‑on, shop‑floor environment.
