Coverage Security Guard

Overview

Garda World Security Services is Now Hiring a Response Security Officer. This position is a casual Security Officer – Response with responsibilities that vary by day and event, including customer service, patrols, and surveillance. The role requires overnight and evening availability, holidays, a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, willingness to travel up to 60 miles to job sites, the ability to be on your feet for 8+ hours, and proficiency with computers and learning new programs.

Note:

This position has no set schedule or set job site. Full-time and part-time positions are available; the amount of hours is not guaranteed.

Garda World Security Services is also hiring a Surveillance Security Officer around the Lancaster, PA area.

• Variable schedules, every day is something new
• Full-time guards must have availability on off-shift, weekends, evenings and overnights. No hours are guaranteed. Part-time officers must have open availability on weekends and holidays.

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents with detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitor identities
• Analyze security systems to identify vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies
• Ensure safety and protection of individuals and property
• Provide excellent customer service as a priority
• Handle a fast-paced working environment
• Extensive computer proficiency required
• Strong reading and writing of detailed reports
• Know how to enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards
• Screen trucks at the gate and verify driver paperwork
• Patrol upstairs/downstairs and inside/outside the building during shifts
• Paper log and extensive computer data entry
• Use computer truck yard management programs
• Answering phones and email correspondence

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to pass an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight with strong focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus
