We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's manufacturing team based in Columbia, South Carolina. In this role, you will manage general ledger accounting, support monthly and annual financial close processes, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail to contribute significantly to financial operations within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee general ledger accounting activities across multiple business sites, excluding inventory accounting.

- Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting during monthly close processes.

- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Manage and analyze intercompany account balances and charges, ensuring accurate reconciliation with other divisions.

- Compile and submit quarter-end and year-end reporting packages to support corporate financial reporting.

- Upload and maintain ledgers in the company's consolidation module (One Stream) to ensure data consistency.

- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support as needed.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.

- Actively participate in the organization's safety initiatives and promote a culture of respect and excellence.

- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business with a focus on Accounting.

- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a publicly traded company.

- CPA certification or demonstrated progress toward obtaining the license is preferred.

- Proficiency in analyzing and working with data from ERP systems and consolidation software.

- Advanced computer skills, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with colleagues and management.

- Proven experience in month-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
