Our direct client has an opening for a Business Analyst. This position is up to 9 months, with the option of extension, and is in Columbia, SC. Corp to Corps are NOT allowed for this client. W2 Only.

Responsibilities

• Document processes and procedures for various areas of OTIS or for projects with state agencies.
• Analyze processes and propose improvements in support of continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct requirements gathering, elicitation, analysis and management for projects.
• Conduct needs assessments or gap analyses for projects.
• Support stakeholder management with project managers.
• Lead testing and solution/product validation in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) when needed.
• Plan for testing activities.
• Lead testing activities.
• Track and manage testing activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Ability to take complicated processes and document them in MS Visio or MS Word
• Requirements gathering, elicitation, and documentation
• Analysis of processes and continuous improvement
• Testing of systems and bug/defect tracking
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Required Education/Certifications

• 5 years of related work experience

• INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS ANALYSIS (IIBA)
• Ability to analyze and document, business and system processes using various methods and tools.
