School District Position Description

Job Title: After school Daycare Worker - Temporary Part-Time

Qualification: Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Job Goal: Fulfill all duties and responsibilities as caregiver for children of those enrolled Riverbank Elementary School's after school daycare program.

Report to: Daycare Supervisor

Performance Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)

• Is responsible for a small group of children as their primary care provider
• Sets up the physical environment which is conducive to school-aged children's growth and development
• Is responsible for the care, safety, and well-being of all children in the group
• Demonstrates verbally and by role model a sound knowledge of child development
• Serves as model at all times for parents in the demonstration of appropriate interactions with young children
• Participates in assigned training
• Performs other duties necessary to maintain a quality program for students
• Establishes well maintained group environment conducive to learning and safety

Requires mostly light work that involves walking, bending, sitting, or standing some of the time and may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
