Visual Media Designer -  - YC role with the State of South Carolina. This position focuses on marketing the South Carolina Youth Challe

NGe Academy through marketing and advertising campaigns, media relations, and multimedia content creation.

• Market the academy by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns.
• Keep promotional materials ready by defining marketable items, placing orders, and managing inventory.
• Research competitive programs by identifying and evaluating programs data.
• Analyze needs and demographics to plan campaigns, and organize promotional presentations.
• Develop and maintain contacts with radio, television, and other mass media to disseminate information and promote academy programs.
• Prepare releases and arrange distribution schedules. Collect, write, edit, and post newsworthy articles and social events related to SC Youth Challe
  
  NGe Academy.
• Assist with alumni relations and recruiting efforts. Collaborate with recruiting and training teams on marketing tools and technology.
• Review and approve publications to ensure compliance with NGB, state agency, and academy guidelines.
• Create, maintain, and update the academy website. Administer social media accounts and respond to postings.
• Use photography, videography, and multimedia equipment to document cadet activities and promote SCYCA, including Job Challenge.
• Maintain audiovisual and multimedia equipment and software inventory and upkeep.
• Participate in field trips and events to provide photography and to upload content to the website and social channels.
• Provide related skills programming to cadets in SCYCA and JC. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Director.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least 2 years of related experience; or certifications in a related field with at least 4 years of experience.

• Master’s Degree in a related field and 2 years of experience. Experience working with youth.

• Knowledge of media arts principles, procedures, equipment, and materials.
• Knowledge of market research procedures and techniques.
• Skill in operating graphics, multimedia, and digital imaging software; troubleshooting audiovisual equipment.
• Skill in curriculum facilitation and in communicating effectively, both in writing and orally.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and multi-task in a high-demand environment.
• Must obtain people skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
