Job ResponsibilitiesProvides instruction to students enrolled in introductory-level art courses. This is an in-person position that will be required to teach classes at multiple campuses and off-campus sites, including high schools. Duties include conducting appropriate learning activities, maintaining effective instructional management, participating in all required orientations, meetings, and trainings, adhering to all college-designated deadlines, and participating in Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assessments.
MinimumAnd Additional Requirements
- Master's degree in Art, or master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in art.
- Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated interest and expertise in teaching studio art and art history courses to diverse student populations highly preferred.
- Experience teaching 3D art strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching to diverse student populations at a two-year college also preferred.
Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College’s established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,802 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
