NVIT anticipates a need for Term Instructors within the Environmental Natural Resources Technology program for Community Education in Williams Lake BC and invites applications from qualified candidates. This will be a sessional term opportunity; course offerings are subject to sufficient student enrolment.

November 2025 – March 2026

  • ENRT 271 – Grasslands Ecology
  • ENRT 250 – Silviculture
  • ENRT 273 – Wildlife Ecology
  • COMM 145 – Public Relations & Communication
  • Master’s Degree in a related field, (Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience considered);
  • Registered Professional Forester (RPF) preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong connections and roots within Indigenous / First Nations communities preferred
  • Ability to work effectively as part of high functioning, student-focused team
  • Strong passion and commitment to learners and learning
  • Excellent teaching and human relations skills
  • Faculty members are expected to contribute positively to the life of the school and community.
  • Demonstrated excellent teaching and human relations skills – faculty members are expected to contribute positively to the life of the school and community
  • Strong connections and roots within Indigenous / First Nations communities; and
  • Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing
  • Understanding of Canada’s colonial history and the devastating impacts on Indigenous peoples and Indigenous ways of being and knowing;
  • Practice from a holistic, culturally safe and trauma-informed lens;
  • Knowledge of and appreciation for Indigenous languages and cultures, and Indigenous lived experiences;
  • Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships to achieve outcomes in the best interest of students and NVIT;
  • A demonstrated commitment to quality service to students and the public;
