Our Southeast Water business is seeking a talented Water Resources Engineer to deliver innovative solutions for municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater systems across the region. You’ll be involved in every phase—from study through design—including technical investigations, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, and designing system improvements. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and clients, lead project meetings, and contribute to the development of water collection, conveyance, and distribution layouts.

Responsibilities- Conduct technical investigations and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling to support design and optimization of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
- Design system improvements and manage multidisciplinary projects from study through design and implementation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients, lead project meetings, and contribute to development of layouts for water collection, conveyance, and distribution.
- Monitor construction works to ensure delivery meets quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
- Engage in personal capability building, participate in assessment and development planning, and maintain relevant professional knowledge.
- Research and recommend technical developments to better meet client needs.
- Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs within established systems.
- Work within an established project management plan to achieve goals.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification with intent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) License in GA, SC, or NC; already having your PE is a plus
- 5-10 years of relevant water engineering experience, including underground linear utilities such as water, wastewater, and stormwater
- Experience with hydraulic computations and/or hydrologic modeling (e.g. Hydro
CAD, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, ICPR, etc.) - Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team and independently
- Willingness to observe construction activities and complete field investigations
- Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings
