- Work closely with project managers and civil and environmental professionals on a variety of environmental engineering and construction assignments, including solid waste permitting and design, brownfield site assessment, building abatement and demolition, underground storage tank removal/replacement, site civil/stormwater design, sediment dredging, and soil/groundwater remediation design.
- Complete field assignments such as SWPPP inspections, SPCC inspections, ASTM Phase I ESA site walks, and ASTM Phase II ESA investigation activities (e.g., drilling oversight, soil logging, monitoring well installation, and sampling).
- Coordinate with staff performing environmental assessment, remedial design, and construction monitoring on cleanup sites and redevelopment projects.
- Support engineering design teams by preparing plans, details, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Prepare reports and technical memoranda for environmental projects including assessment, regulatory compliance, landfill monitoring, solid waste permitting, feasibility studies, and engineering design.
- Review, manage, and process construction‑phase contractor submittals and FARs.
- Coordinate task scheduling and design deliverables across multidisciplinary environmental and engineering disciplines.
- Participate in role‑specific skill training.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental/civil engineering or a related field; MS or willingness to obtain an MS is preferred.
- Experience in field settings and overseeing field services (e.g., construction oversight, drilling oversight, soil logging, monitoring well installation, soil, groundwater, and air sampling) is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors on fast‑paced field assignments.
- Collaborative mindset and task ownership to achieve client objectives.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing; proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or drafting is preferred.
- Commitment to quality, excellence, and curiosity to learn and grow; willingness to obtain internal/external training to increase software skills.
- Valid driver’s license and availability to travel for fieldwork.
