Job Summary

The Sr. Industrial Engineering Project Manager will lead industrial engineering projects designed to optimize and standardize business processes throughout the organization. This dynamic leader will work collaboratively with all business functions to manage a portfolio of projects focused on improving routings, standards, and bill of materials. They will exercise authority over assignments and tasks while operating independently under broad policy guidance, providing technical or project management oversight, coordination, and assignment of work to other staff.

Their efforts will ensure a scalable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage large‑scale industrial engineering projects across multiple manufacturing sites or business functions.
  • Analyze production processes, workflows, and layouts to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assess current processes, identify gaps, and lead efforts to take corrective action.
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies, Six Sigma initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including operations, supply chain, quality, IT, and finance to align initiatives with business objectives.
  • Create detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and executive updates on project status and outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, OEE, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, AS, TS, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial/mechanical engineering. Demonstrated experience within a project management role.
  • Proven track record of leading successful manufacturing or process improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, CAPA, SPC, and other problem‑solving methods.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor, etc.).
  • Demonstrated capability to operate within a highly technical, regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, TS 16949, GMP, or other relevant experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead within a complex manufacturing facility including manufacturing operations, planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.
