• Design and analyze hydraulics including storm drain system design, culverts, and sediment and erosion control design for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects. Work will include bid-build and design-build projects.
• Perform hydrologic & hydraulic studies using software such as GEOPAK Drainage, HY-8, and HEC-RAS
• Prepare or oversee design work using local, GDOT, or FHWA standards including but not limited to inlet design and spread calculations; storm drainage design and hydraulic grade line calculations; culvert design and analyses; and sediment and erosion control design and analyses.
• Design and analyze airport drainage and hydraulics to meet County, DOT, and FAA standards.
• Perform detention pond design, calculations, and routing to account for increases in drainage area and impervious areas.
• Prepare and oversee elements of various sizes of contract plans, specifications and estimates including but not limited to inlet design and spread calculations; storm drainage design and hydraulic grade line calculations; culvert design and analyses; and sediment and erosion control design
• Prepare cost-estimates and technical reports
• Coordinate permitting efforts with various stormwater agencies
• Prepare construction plans and specifications
• Perform other duties as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
• EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Ability to develop designs using GEOPAK Drainage, HY-8, and HEC-RAS
• Positive attitude and commitment to being an advocate of the Holt Team.
• Preference is given to local candidates
