Roadway Design Engineer

• Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects
• Oversee work by taking responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans, and construction estimates
• Communicate and coordinate with 3rd parties and the project team to aid in the design process and schedule
• Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects
• Participate in project coordination meetings, and activities ranging from feasibility studies to construction plan development
• Assume some project management duties and interact with clients
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Proficiency with Micro Station and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley Concept Station and Open Roads Designer
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience should include urban and rural corridors, interstate, interchange intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans
• Preference is given to local candidates
• Positive attitude and commitment to being an advocate of the Holt team
