Registered Nurse L&D PRN

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal‑directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other health care team members to achieve desired results.

• Deliver safe and effective care while collaborating with other health care team members.

Associate degree in nursing;
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required.

Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors and outdoors, handling temperature extremes, working in elevated areas, confined spaces, kneeling positions, bending, twisting at waist, squatting and lifting up to 50 lbs. Unassisted, 36″ lower, overhead 25 lbs. force required. Ability to perform fine and gross motor tasks, maintain vision and hearing, sustain high stress levels, work rotating shifts, overtime, latex‑safe environment, respirator use for selected positions, and meet other selected positions requirements.

Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse; current AHA BLS or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
• Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills for tasks such as taking patient vitals, administering injections, or conducting physical exams.
• Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed.
• Visual acuity and color perception to accurately read medical charts, documents, and monitors.
• Auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues, as well as to perceive important sounds such as alarms or patient instructions.
• Stamina and resilience to handle the physical and emotional demands of providing patient care, including long shifts and potentially stressful situations.
• Mobility to navigate clinical environments, including moving between patient rooms, offices, and other areas of the facility.
• Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
