Business Analyst

Overview

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support a large-scale healthcare systems modernization initiative. This role will bridge business needs with IT solutions, ensuring integration, efficiency, and alignment with program strategy.

• Act as liaison between business teams and IT to deliver technical solutions.
• Analyze operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and automation opportunities.
• Support business process redesign, documentation, and performance assessments.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage change requests.
• Facilitate communication between business and IT throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor team members and support knowledge transfer.
• Lead business design sessions for assigned modules and ensure integration across systems.
• Track KPIs, provide updates on status/issues, and lead cross-functional meetings.
• Build strong client relationships and proactively address business needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in technical, business, healthcare, or related field (or 7+ years equivalent experience).
• Eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business rules/processes.
• Experience with Medicaid payer system integration/delivery.
• Familiarity with MITA business architecture principles.
• Familiarity with standard data structures, EDI processes, and file formats.

• Knowledge of CMS Federal Certification requirements and processes.
• Experience with MMIS project management or operations.
