Litigation Associate Attorney

Join MGC's Litigation Team in Columbia, SC. MGC is an industry‑leading civil litigation firm celebrating 30 years of excellence with 23 offices across 12 states. We are seeking attorneys with 1–5 years of practice experience to join our Litigation team in Columbia.

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

• Juris Doctorate (Required)

• 1–5 years (Preferred); prior insurance defense encouraged

• Bar license required (Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina or have pending South Carolina bar exam results)
