Must be mechanically inclined & possess 3-5 years of electrical experience in heavy industrial manufacturing setting.

This role will report directly to the Director of Maintenance.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Must possess 3-5 years of electrical experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Ability to use a multi-meter to test and troubleshoot 24 VDC, 120 VAC, and 480

    VAC 3-phase power circuits.
  • Conduct periodic safety and maintenance inspections to evaluate equipment for replacement and identify wear and damage.
  • Use technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, engines, and compressors.
  • Have exceptional knowledge of tools and equipment repair.
  • Understand the flow of the plant and identify priorities accordingly.
  • Perform troubleshooting of breakdowns and tasks through our work order system.
  • Maintain and upgrade current electrical prints and keep secure copies of all PLC programs.
  • Maintain the inventory and supply of electrical parts.
  • Design electrical control systems as needed.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding repair times and arranging scheduled repairs.
  • Communicate with all department supervisors and personnel to find, diagnose and repair problems timely and efficiently.
Required Experience / Qualifications
  • Install, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills internally and externally (customers).
  • Ability to learn full plant operations in a reasonable length of time and follow detailed instructions.
  • Experience in multi-craft mechanical and electrical.
  • Ability to troubleshoot various types of automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
  • Experience and/or training in hydraulic and pneumatic systems & controls.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work well with others.
  • Understand and troubleshoot 3-phase motor controls.
  • Work at heights safely.
  • Excellent reliability through attendance and punctuality. Must be available to work overtime, weekends & call backs.
  • Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
Skills and Education
  • High school or equivalent required.
  • Physical labor ability: lift up to 75 lbs alone, up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Read, calibrate, write, speak English and basic math to record data correctly.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in a standard manufacturing setting. Production facilities are not climate controlled, and work is outdoors and indoors in all types of weather conditions and work environments.
