Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a SC or compact license, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of OR experience.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital
- Day shifts with 3x12 hour schedule, 6:30am–7:00pm
- On-call required one to two weekdays per week beginning at 5pm
- One full weekend of call every 5 weeks, from Saturday 7am through Monday 7am
- Floating within scope may be required to similar units
- Patient charting is done in Epic
- Must wear hospital-issued OR scrubs
- Modules must be completed pre-start and average 4 hours to complete
- Holiday coverage or RTO approval based on facility needs, with 7 days or less of non-holiday RTO prefered for auto offers
- Candidates living within 60 miles are considered local and must be approved by HR
- Parking is available in hospital lots and garages with provided parking pass
- Potential for emergency assignments during hurricane season (June–November)
- SSN and driver's license required for consideration
- Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required
- Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates must be separated from previous perm or PRN employment at MUSC for at least 1 year prior to consideration
