Required Skills:

Valid Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
Experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or related specialties.
Ability to perform interview-based assessments and some physical examinations such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Capability to complete exams efficiently and accurately submit reports and addendums.

Nice to Have

Skills:

Prior experience with veteran assessments or familiarity with compensation and pension exams.
Knowledge of military or veteran health issues.
Certification in specific medical areas related to general medicine.

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Master s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (e.g., MSN, DNP).
At least 2 years of clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
Previous experience in assessment or exam settings preferred but not required.

Other Requirements:
Must own and operate a dedicated office space within the specified radius of assigned locations.
Willingness to perform assessments on a PRN basis with flexibility to work half or full days as needed.
Reliable internet and communication tools for reporting.
Ability to travel locally as needed, with travel included in rate structure.
