Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Columbia, SC | Acute Care Hospital

Contract | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Evenings/Mids (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM) | Includes weekends and holidays as needed | No on-call required

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting within an acute care hospital
• Utilize Epic electronic health records for charting and documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement patient care
• May be required to float between campuses based on census and staffing needs
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November), as required by facility policy

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Epic electronic health records experience
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered under separate terms
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

• Experience working in a high-volume or Level I/II trauma emergency department
• Familiarity with floating between units or multiple campuses
• Ability to adapt to varying patient acuity levels and census fluctuations

• No on-call requirements, with free parking available at the facility
• Opportunity to work in a well-established acute care environment with expected weekly hours and a consistent mid-shift schedule
