** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to staff, visitors, residents, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a government juvenile services location.

+ Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, maintaining visitor logs, issuing credentials as assigned, and directing individuals according to facility procedures.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities in accordance with site policies.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, building areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access, policy concerns, and/or unusual activity.

+ Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records related to access-control activity, incidents, visitor management, and shift observations.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

+ X-ray screening experience is preferred.

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
