Job Responsibilities
Provides observations of clients and documents observations. Conducts needs assessments on clients and assesses appropriateness of services provided. Advocates on behalf of clients to ensure appropriate, timely and consistent services provided. Conducts and leads discussion groups dealing with a variety of family and individual concerns, to include grief, character building, and coping skills. Help clients work through difficult emotional situations, assist them to become stabilize and begin their long-term healing process.
Assist clients with coping mechanisms through education and direct counseling. Maintain detailed case notes on each client. Build rapport and working partnerships with relevant local, state and Federal government agencies. Coordinates, trains, evaluates and directs the development and implementation of special training programs for clients and staff. Assist clients and families with accessing resources with the community to become self-sufficient.
Connect clients to community resources and public assistance programs. Analyze case data and make appropriate decisions. Compiles data required for federal and state reporting purposes; along with creating conducive reports to management. Monitors and evaluates performance to assure policy and program standards are met and goals are achieved. Connect clients, who are dismissed from the program due to failing drug test, to a substance abuse program or drug class with their community.
Review disciplinary write ups and work with clients to improve behavior. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum And Additional Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, human services, or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, human services, or equivalent and 4 years of related experience. Licensed social worker or counselor.
Additional Comments
