Test and Surgery Scheduling Specialist

Full-time, permanent non-clinical position at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance located in Columbia, TN.

• Coordinate and schedule tests and procedures, follow-up appointments as designated by physicians
• Interact with patients’ physicians and other staff both with the Clinic and at outside facilities providing accurate timely and responsive information
• Ensure efficient telephone communication
• Schedule mutually acceptable appointment times for patients and physicians using computerized scheduling system
• Notify the physician regarding patient cancellation or reschedules

• Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures experience with an EHR or Next Gen is a plus
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Understanding medical terminology
