Core Responsibilities
  • Assist with the administrative support related to patient care.

  • Verify any and all clinical reminders “due” at the time of each patient visit are completed prior to check‑out.
  • Check patients in and/or out of the clinic.
  • Schedule clinic appointments.
  • Answer phones and relay messages promptly.
  • Fulfill compliance requirements of the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Joint Commission (JC), Environment of Care (EOC) oversight, lab compliance, and related items.
  • Maintain data input accuracy to achieve excellent clinical outcomes within VA guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service to veterans, colleagues, and clinic visitors—both in person and over the phone.
  • Participate in outreach events to support clinic enrollment initiatives.
  • Support patient enrollment and retention for appointments, follow‑up visits, or nurse visits.
  • Embrace and support new initiatives, whether clinical or operational.
  • Recognize this as a safety‑sensitive position.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education.
  • Strong computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated high‑quality customer service and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 1‑year experience in a clinical or call‑center environment (preferred).
  • Credentialed and in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (minimum renewal period of two years, AHA valid) and ACLS as required by individual VAMC contract.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Energetic and optimistic demeanor.

Final compensation will be based on relevant factors including work experience, skills, certifications, and internal equity.

Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.
