SummaryThe Parts Sales Representative is responsible for building strong relationships with customers to determine replacement parts required according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions. Also responsible for creating solutions, growing market share, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction with new and existing customers by offering high‑quality parts at competitive prices.
Requirements SpecificResponsibilities Include:
- Travel to companies and businesses to sell parts for industrial equipment for mechanical uses.
- Check out existing equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements in order to establish negotiated pricing contracts for assigned products.
- Perform product demonstrations and application support.
- Improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers by phone.
- Estimate the date of delivery to the customer, based on knowledge of the manufacturing department’s production and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with the Service Department installation and test operation of parts or repairs needed.
- Recommend solutions to product‑related problems.
- Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and a given sales territory.
- Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy monthly.
- Review daily sales reports and complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Review monthly the best monitoring sales report with management to determine if goals and objectives are being met.
- Follow policies and procedures; support company's goals and values.
- Ability to negotiate the pricing while achieving revenue goals and delivering results.
- Heavy Equipment parts sales experience required.
- Must be able to guard confidential information on pricing, products, etc.
- Capacity to logically solve problems and manage projects by utilizing a data‑driven, detail‑oriented approach.
- Analytical ability to prepare performance reports, cost/price analyses, and other performance measures.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with customers and co‑workers.
- Manage difficult or emotional customer situations with tact.
- Respond promptly to customer needs and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in and/or lead a cross‑functional team.
- Possess the ability to drive for results, hold self‑accountable, and continuously improve.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Certificate or Equivalent Work Experience.
- Bilingual skills required (English/Spanish).
The majority of the job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions, but the job will also require from time to time to visit the production floor and the warehouse.
