Southern Health Partners is looking for a Medical Director to join our correctional healthcare team at the Shelby County Jail. This isn't your typical medical job — it's a chance to provide essential care, lead a team, and work with purpose… all in just one short day a week.
WhatYou'll Do
- Provide oversight and direction for on-site medical services delivered by our full-time nursing staff
- Review charts, prescribe medications, and see patients as needed during your weekly visit
- Support and supervise clinical staff, upholding high-quality standards of care
- Remain available to nursing staff for phone consults or direction (limited, low volume)

- Licensed MD or DO in the state of Alabama
- Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- Must be able to pass security clearance
