Job SummaryThe beautiful Alabama 4‑H Center, a full‑service camp & conference facility nestled within 264 acres of forest land on Lay Lake in Columbiana, is looking for Food Service Staff to join the team! This is a pooled posting that will remain open for an extended period. Selected applicants will be contacted as future staffing needs arise.
About Temporary Employment Services (TES)TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet staffing needs across the campus. Temporary employees are hired for reasons such as assistance in place of a regular employee, additional assistance during peak workloads, assistance with special projects, seasonal work, or emergencies.
Essential Functions- Set up kitchen for meal preparation.
- Cook meals using commercial kitchen equipment.
- Cook and display meals and break items.
- Operate a commercial dishwasher.
- Keep kitchen, kitchen equipment, and dining areas cleaned properly.
- Deliver food and beverages to designated meeting and dining facilities.
- Prepare and serve meals to guests.
- Make all clients feel welcome and exhibit exceptional hospitality skills with both youth and adults.
- Maintain all safety standards and regulations within the Alabama 4‑H Center and Auburn University guidelines.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Must be able to read labels and menus and assist with preparing meals for those with dietary food allergies.
- Experience in food service or hospitality.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Prior work in a camp or conference center setting.

Salary: $12.00–$14.50 per hour.
Hours: Flexible varied shifts available (early morning 5 am and/or late afternoon 4 pm).
