AP Specialist

Our client is hiring an AP Specialist in Atlanta, GA.This is a fast-growing subcontractor in the middle of an exciting growth stage, and theyre building out a strong accounts payable team to keep up. Youll handle bills, credit card coding, POs, and vendor communication across 1,000+ monthly transactions tied to active construction projects. The team works in Ramp and Net Suite, so youll get hands-on time with a modern, automation-first tech stack.

Its a remote role with a supportive AP Manager, leadership that values new ideas, and plenty of room to grow as the company expands.

Responsibilities:

• Code bills and credit card transactions in Ramp to the correct GL account, project, and cost category, then sync to Net Suite
• Create purchase orders from Project Manager requests and handle project transfers and reclasses to keep job cost accurate
• Reconcile vendor statements, answer vendor questions, and route bills for approval with timely follow-up
• Support month-end close and 1099 prep by verifying vendor coding and pulling supporting data

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of accounts payable experience, ideally in a high-volume environment
• Hands-on experience with Ramp or a similar AP automation platform, plus working knowledge of Net Suite or a comparable ERP
• Understanding of job cost coding, POs, and project-based accounting (construction or low voltage experience is a big plus)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a full workload on your own
