Automotive Mechanic – Mavis Tire

Join Mavis Tire as an Automotive Mechanic and help keep Columbus, GA vehicles safe. Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains with over 2,000 retail locations.

As an Automotive Mechanic you will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services. Responsibilities include

• Perform undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, and replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, and reach as required.
• Lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Required

• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Two years of automotive repair and maintenance experience or training.
• Extensive personal tool set for undercar repairs.

Preferred

• State inspection license(s).
• ASE
  
  Certifications:
  
  G1 (Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair), A4 (Suspension and Steering), A5 (Brakes).
