Psychiatrist

The selected candidate will be responsible for prescribing, directing, administering, and/or monitoring psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders in adults and possibly children. He/She will gather and maintain patient information and records, including social or medical history obtained from patients, relatives, or other professionals. The candidate will develop treatment plans based on the patient's needs and the extent of their emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, or behavioral disorder.

The candidate will consult with the patient's Primary Care Physician (PCP) or other healthcare providers and provide crisis intervention when needed. Additionally, the candidate will write and maintain patient and clinical records, documenting the type of treatment and medication administered. The selected candidate will work with a comprehensive treatment team and will be involved in supervising physician extenders and psychiatry residents.

The candidate must also remain current with professional knowledge and adhere to ethical, legal, and procedural standards. Compensation is a straight salary, not an "income guarantee," and the candidate will not be responsible for any office expenses. Additionally, malpractice coverage is included as part of our comprehensive benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a degree from an accredited college/university. Completion of an approved psychiatric residency and licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia. Board eligible or certified and possess a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Preferred Requirements:
Experience working in a clinical setting is preferred.

Days & Time:
This position will work a 40-hour weekly schedule, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Rate of Pay: $255,000 per year.
