Overview
Chance Light Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our award-winning Special Education team and perform meaningful work in a culture that welcomes innovation and offers growth opportunities. This role supports students in Grades K-12 with tailored clinical and educational interventions designed to meet each learner’s needs. Starting Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 /year based on experience PLUS $5,000 Sign-on Bonus!
Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive training and ongoing guidance to teachers and educational staff in designing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of academic instruction and behavioral support services to ensure strong outcomes for students.
- Support Chance Light staff by modeling, reinforcing, and enhancing instructional best practices aligned with IEP goals.
- Assess professional development needs of educational team members; develop and deliver targeted training programs to address identified skill gaps.
- Engage in staff development activities, including conferences and trainings to continually enhance professional skills.
- Provide crisis prevention and management training to school staff to maintain a safe learning environment.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional training for behavior specialists and related staff.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend evidence-based curricula and instructional resources aligned with standards and organizational objectives.
- Develop, implement, and supervise systems to address the academic and behavioral needs of individual students and classrooms.
- Participate in required meetings, interdisciplinary collaborations, and staff gatherings.
- Conduct ongoing quality assurance assessments at student, classroom, staff, and site levels, providing actionable feedback for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to Department of Education guidelines and Chance Light internal standards for educational excellence and evidence-based interventions.
- Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned to support organizational goals and student success.
- Master’s degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, or related field.
- Currently licensed or in the process of obtaining BCBA credential.
- Current or in-process special education instruction credential preferred.
- Proficient in ABA, PBIS, data-based decision making, FBA, and BIP processes.
- Experience and knowledge in special education services and compliance, including effective teaching strategies, classroom management, and IEPs.
- Experience working with children with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, and related disabilities; crisis management experience.
- Ability to develop and implement effective behavior intervention plans for diverse student needs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to think clearly and act calmly in emergencies.
- Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and basic data systems.
