Position Title: Lead Support Technician
Experience

10+ years in Landfill Gas to Energy business
Location: Remote with ability to travel often to multiple sites including TCPP (Honea Path, SC), ACGP (Polkton, NC), RPP (Lawrence, KS), DGRP (Dubuque, IA), Pen Argyl, PA, and CPP (Columbus, GA)
Job Summary
The Lead Support Technician will serve as the primary technical expert for electrical and mechanical systems in landfill gas to energy operations. This role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, operator training, emergency response, and site support to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
- Serve as the primary expert for electrical and mechanical systems, including instrumentation, PLCs, compression, and gas processing equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical infrastructure issues, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70B standards.
- Perform or oversee repairs on instrumentation and PLC systems, coordinating with contractors as needed.
Maintenance Support
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for electrical and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Assist operators in diagnosing equipment issues and provide hands-on support for critical repairs.
- Document all maintenance activities in the CMMS, including detailed repair logs and parts used.
Operator Training
- Train operators on advanced maintenance tasks, including basic PLC troubleshooting and electrical safety protocols per NFPA 70B.
- Provide technical guidance to operators during routine operations and maintenance activities.
Emergency Response
- Act as the lead technician during emergency repairs, coordinating with Joe and contractors to restore operations quickly.
- Support Antonio in hands-on maintenance tasks during high-priority situations.
Site Support
- Conduct regular site visits to TCPP, ACGP, RPP, and DGRP to assess equipment condition and support operators.
- Assist in planning maintenance strategies for new facilities in Pen Argyl, PA, and Columbus, GA.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Landfill Gas to Energy industry.
- Expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, including instrumentation, PLCs, compression, and gas processing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70B standards and electrical safety protocols.
- Proficiency in CMMS for documentation and maintenance tracking.
- Ability to train and guide operators on technical tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during emergency repairs.
- Willingness to travel for regular site visits and support
