Pratt & Whitney is working to transform the future of flight—designing, building, and servicing engines unlike any the world has ever seen. The Columbus Engine Center is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a fast‑paced, dynamic team. The focus is to develop relationships within the Columbus Engine Center operational functions, create trusting relationships with an emphasis on rapid problem resolution, remove waste and variability from processes, and improve quality and delivery.
WhatYou Will Do
- Conduct activities to modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.
- Evaluate technical data and work instructions in support of Engineering and Operations.
- Conduct investigations, provide analysis, and develop recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities.
- Review process control documentation to ensure compliance with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.
- Analyze quality activities to identify systemic issues and enable the development of specific quality initiative improvements and strategies.
- Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drive their implementation.
- Perform Escape Management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions for internally produced products and processes.
- Promote the quality culture in the business through compliance with the QMS and adherence to Quality Cardinal Rules.
- Flexibility for alternate shift coverage as required.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in an aviation or aerospace manufacturing environment; OR advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience leading product or process non‑conformance investigations (i.e., DIVEs) and root cause and corrective action.
- Experience with AS9100/AS9110 standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
- Experience in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) for aircraft engine and CFR 145.
- Continuous improvement, lean and Six‑sigma.
- Ability to interpret quality management systems (QMS) and MRO requirements into simple terms and vice‑versa; training and development for subject matter experts and end‑users.
- Experience in MRO Repair Station/Engine Center, QMS, RCCA, data analysis, technical review, inspection methods, and project management.
- May be eligible for relocation.
- Employee scholar program.
- Salary range: 82,000 USD – 164,000 USD.

Employees work primarily onsite, including all production and maintenance workers.
